What does a telc exam offer me?

All telc exams follow the official Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and such certificates can be used as a proof of your language skills in many situations. A tip for university applicants and those who need certificates for official matters

Usually universities and other higher schools (including these in Augsburg) accept telc C1 exams as a proof of language skills. However, in individual cases the requirements might differ. We would advise you to ask at the university, institution or at the appropriate faculty before registering for an exam. Also, in government offices, there are certain rules about what language level is required in each situation. It is worth asking at the office and making sure what exactly is needed beforehand, since every situation is individual.

What can I expect during a telc exam

Depending on the level, telc exams differ in difficulty and length. Generally, any exam consists of two parts: a written one (reading comprehension, listening comprehension, grammatical-lexical part) and an oral one (introducing yourself, a short speech and a talk with the examiner). Such a construction of the exam allows for your written and spoken language to be tested extensively. Even if you are sure of your language knowledge on a given level, it is advisable to get to know the exam structure beforehand.

Why should I do a test preparation course?

Our telc preparation courses are held by experienced teachers and they help you not only to expand your language knowledge, but also to get to know the exam structure well. You will get some model exam papers, they will help you practice how to manage your time during the exam and how to approach the exercises. During classes, you will do a mock test. The evaluation of this will help you to work on your mistakes and to feel more secure about the real exam.
